How to Jump-Start a Vehicle

Read the supplied manual and the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions before use.

  1. Turn on the jump starter and check its charge level.
  2. Connect the smart clamp cable to the jump starter.
  3. Connect the red clamp to the positive battery terminal.
  4. Connect the black clamp to the negative battery terminal.
  5. Wait for the clamp indicator to display solid green. If it does not turn solid green because the battery is extremely flat, refer to Manual Override.
  6. Ensure the vehicle is in Park or Neutral.
  7. Start the vehicle within 30 seconds.
  8. Remove the clamps from the battery terminals within 30 seconds after the vehicle starts.

Manual Override

Manual override disables the smart clamp safety functions.

Use manual override only when:

  • The vehicle battery is severely depleted
  • The battery is not damaged or faulty

Read the supplied manual before using manual override. Do not allow the clamps to touch each other or reverse the clamp polarity.
